The news had a few political broadcasts that I just heard and you could have knocked me over with a feather as I listened. One of the comments was that what Americans are going through is just not a big deal. In addition, I heard that we as Americans just need to pare back a little.
Hello!? What are they missing? Why can’t they grasp what is really happening? Speaking in terms of the women who connect with me alone, things are frightening! Divorced women are suffering unbelievably because they are the forgotten ones in this economy.
These women, especially the ones who had been stay at home moms continue to be jobless and are in a panic. There is no help for them! There are no unemployment checks, no health insurance and no government assistance because nobody even gets the fact that they are what they are…the forgotten ones who are not surviving in this economy!
Please. If you know of any women who have recently gotten divorced, let them know that you care and that you will be there for them. Remember that they are proud and most of the time, won’t admit their fear or their circumstances. This is such a frightening time for them.
Their refrigerators and their hopes have bottomed out.
