Are You Being Played?

Moms, just a little FYI: Children can be pretty clever about how they work their divorcing parents during the holidays.

They understand very well that you might not have sufficient contact with their father so you might not be aware of some of their requests or how they are presenting them to you and your ex.

Here is a possible scenario:

“Dad, Mom said that she wants to get me a —– because she said that my grades are so good. She said she can’t afford to buy me one even though she thinks I deserve to get one.”

Mom, Dad got his step son a —- I wish he would get me one because that would make me feel just as important as his step son.”

Reality check…Mom didn’t say any such thing. Dad didn’t get his step son one. Think about it!

Are you being played a bit like a piano?
