Are You Walking Into A Fountain?

If you have had the TV or radio on in the last couple of days, you must have heard about the lady who was texting while walking. She ended up taking a nose dive unintentionally, into the water surrounding a fountain in a mall. She was fully dressed and quite surprised.

The obvious lessons this woman must have learned from her unintended swim in the fountain should have been:

  • Don’t walk while texting.
  • Cell phones are not water proof.
  • It’s best to wear a bathing suit while swimming in a fountain.

All kidding aside, for the purpose of this blog, there are other lessons to be learned from this wet woman’s blunder.

So many women who are suffering through a troubled marriage “don’t see the forest for the trees” which is similar to this woman who “didn’t see the fountain for the texting.”

We get so focused on our daily activities that we miss the fact that our marriages are heading toward divorce. We are so preoccupied with our daily activities involving children, job, cooking and cleaning, that we miss the obvious.

We need to pay attention to where we are going without allowing blinders to keep reality out of our vision. We must concentrate on the truth about the path our marriages are taking so as to protect ourselves from sinking under the water of divorce.
