It’s Spring and Time for New Beginnings

I just received a call from someone who had wanted to call me for quite a while. After we talked for a few minutes and she filled me in on some of the things she had been experiencing, my heart broke.

Anyone who has gone through the pain of divorce doesn’t forget how it feels. It’s kind of like childbirth. The pain is excruciating but what comes in its wake can be absolutely amazing.

Anyway, as I listened and she sobbed, I could feel her pain and feelings of desolation. The good part about the conversation was that I could hear and feel that she had an inner strength. Her problem was that she had been broken by the people who were preying upon her naivety regarding divorce.

When you are on the outside looking in, the facts are so easy to see.

If you have concerned and reliable friends and professionals in your life seek their help. If you don’t have that support system, please send me an email or call me.

There are many occasions when the women who contact me just need a shot in the arm to let them know they are on the right track. Other times, they are so lost in the process that they are destroying their financial futures.

Whatever your situation is, please do what it takes to get you where you need to be. You might need a psychologist. You might need a different attorney. You might just need more support from your family and friends.

Don’t shortchange yourself or your kids by throwing in the towel and giving up. You can get through this and you can have a wonderful life when you get past this difficult time in your life.
