Your Purse: Half Empty or Totally Empty?

It breaks my heart that I am receiving so many emails from women who are destitute years after their divorces are final. I’m going to post this one because like Candice, Judy asked me to share it with you.

I hope the women reading this site are paying attention and changing some things on how they think about divorce and what can and probably will happen. For me, I only had one child and she’s grown now and lives 6 states away from me. My divorce was over 7 years ago. I had a great job when my husband I decided I should stay at home with her. We had two great incomes but thought this was best for our family and her especially. So that’s what I did and not much later he started to cheat and we had a very rocky marriage all of the years.

The only jobs I’ve gotten since then are minimum wage but I don’t even have a minimum wage job now because they let me go to the economy. I sold all the silver we got for our wedding, I sold all my jewelry and now I’m selling my furniture. The one thing that helped a lot was the silver and gold prices because that bought some time. Just like the letter from the lady yesterday, my husband is living like a prince. I hate it but can’t dwell on it anymore. I wish I hadn’t been so stupid and naïve when I quit my job or I wouldn’t have done it. I’d be so better off now.

You’re doing a great job here and I think you’ll save some women from the heartache I feel. If you want to share this you can.
