Happy Birthday Mom!

Today is or was my mom’s birthday! I will never forget the day or her. Not because we saw eye to eye, quite the contrary but because she was my mom. I loved her and she loved me. We both did things the other didn’t agree with, said words that we shouldn’t have said but when push came to shove, we never abandoned each other because we were mother and daughter and the bond was as strong as any bond could be. She used to say, “You for me and me for you and nothing but death will part us two.” Well, it did and we have parted and I miss her. I wish I could still hear her words and feel her love. Well, I do feel her love but I can’t feel her warmth except in my mind and heart!
