Before the divorce rate began its unbelievable rise in the 1960s, almost everyone said that divorce was a problem especially when it comes to the children. Uh…yes!
Then in the 1980’s, one in two marriages ended in divorce! So then the experts said that the important part of the process was how the children were handled. Uh…yes again!
So the beginning stage of a divorce-where the kids weren’t brutalized-was the way better one which depended on how the news was presented to them.
The experts stated that a “good divorce” was one where the parents connected, communicated and parented together. The more the parents reduced conflict, the better the children of divorce fared.
The reality, in my opinion is that there is no good divorce. No matter what, children experience pain but the pain can be is lessened with an amicable divorce where parents communicate and parent together.
Parents, try it…you just might like it and if you love your kids…just do it!
Please help the children of divorce.
