Divorce: 4 Suggestions You Can’t Afford To Ignore

When I have a day like I had today, I am left in amazement. Every single coaching call was with a woman who didn’t expect divorce. How is it that we women consistently allow ourselves to be placed in positions that cost us our financial security when divorce comes into play?

I believe with all of my heart that it has to do with some of our most admirable qualities. The women who seem to be the most vulnerable are the ones who give up every semblance of financial security in trade for being home with the children. They are so focused on family that they are more than willing to give up their jobs and often their awareness of the family’s finances.

When women lose contact and awareness of the family’s finances, they are doomed if divorce happens.

Please do yourself a favor and pay close attention to my suggestions because they can make or break your financial future. Believe me when I say that you don’t want to find yourself where most of my coaching clients are finding themselves.

Four suggestions to protect you in the case of divorce.

• Stay on top of your family’s finances and taxes.
• If and when you suspect that your marriage is on rocky ground, prepare yourself for divorce.
• Don’t assume that just because you don’t have any intention of filing for divorce, doesn’t mean that he doesn’t.
• Don’t assume that because you lead an affluent life that you will always lead an affluent life.

Nothing would make me happier than to connect with you because you gained something from this site and protected your future because of what you found here. Please don’t be so focused on your wifely and motherly duties that you ignore the obvious. Pretending that nothing is wrong in your marriage will not help you when you you are hit over the head with the fact that everything is wrong with your marriage.
