What is a divorce coach? Do I need one? Why do I need one?
There are different answers to these questions depending on who is giving the answers.
In terms of my coaching, I do the following:
- I advise you if your situation does not warrant a divorce coach and refund your money immediately.
- I give you my uninterrupted time and attention during our sessions.
- I help you to save money on your divorce.
- I give you non judgmental listening as you share your concerns, questions and worries. I understand firsthand the feelings of being afraid, alone, angry, confused and overwhelmed.
- I give you perspective and information so that you will feel confident in your decision making ability.
- I help you see if you are focusing on areas that might be a waste of money.
- I help reduce your level of anxiety and stress by offering information that will help you gain confidence and understanding of the divorce process.
- Metaphorically, I help to pick you up when you are down and dust you off so that you will be prepared for the next challenging part of your divorce.
- I am there for you so you will not feel alone. Unlike friends who give advice that is well meant but not helpful, my advice is knowledgeable based on years of experience.
- I help you ask the right questions, communicate effectively, prioritize your actions.
- I help you with suggestions that will help you focus on what is important and avoid getting caught up in matters that will not help your outcome.
- I guide you through the selection process of a divorce attorney. In addition, I will alert you to warning signs that may indicate you are wasting money on legal fees.
Regarding my coaching:
- I am not pro-divorce.
- I am not a substitute for an attorney. I will not offer legal advice.
- I am not a psychologist. I will not offer psychological counseling.
