Many of you have emailed me and asked, “At what point should I think about a divorce coach?” Well, that’s an easy question to answer.
If the divorce world were perfect, you would not need a divorce coach. Period! Since the world isn’t perfect, you are the only one who can answer the question regarding your own situation and what you need.
In an effort to help you understand your needs, I have compiled a few questions to help you figure out whether or not you need a divorce coach.
If you answer any of these questions with a “no,” a divorce coach might be something you should think about.
1. Are you on friendly terms with your soon to be ex?
2. Is your divorce amicable?
3. Do you have sufficient income and or funds to survive during and after the divorce process?
4. Are you confident that your decisions are good and correct regarding your children’s best interests?
5. Have you selected a good attorney? Are you confident that he or she is out for your best interests?
6. Have you researched the divorce laws in your state?
7. Are you confident that you will obtain custody of your children after you are divorced?
8. Has your soon to be ex husband worked with you regarding the welfare of your children?
9. Do you have good self esteem?
10. Do your children appear to be happy and confident as the divorce process begins and plays out?
11. Do you think your marriage could get better to the point of reconciliation?
12. Are you happy and confident?
Hopefully, these questions will be of help to you. I’ll be more than happy to answer any other questions you might have. Just email me at claudia@claudiabroome.com
