As one holiday has come to an end and new ones are approaching, my heart is drawn to those women who have become entrenched in the divorce process and are feeling the loss of the family unit and their identities. If there is one focus for them and for all of us in these troubled times, it is to focus on the children who are also feeling broken by divorce. On that note, I am reminded of a quote from Emily Dickinson which will always ring true to me and hopefully to you.
If I can stop one heart from breaking,
I shall not live in vain.
If I can ease one life the aching,
Or cool one pain,
Or help one fainting robin
Into his nest again,
I shall not live in vain.
Please ladies, try to stick together. Try to support all of the women and children who are in the same situation as you find yourselves. Remember that with numbers come strength.
