Facebook for Dummies
Facebook seems to be on so many minds and in so many divorce courts. Please everyone, use your heads. Don’t post anything on Facebook that you don’t want the world, your soon to be ex let alone the judge in your divorce to see!
The divorce process can be very ugly and your giving the other side ammunition that will hurt you is just crazy. Whether you are in a no fault divorce state or not, doesn’t matter when your personal life is spread out for all to see. You could be compromising everything with your “harmless” little tidbits of information and pictures.
According to the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers, eighty one percent of its’ members have been involved in cases that have involved some type of social networking information. Facebook appears to be the most common.
The part that I find so incredible is that the almost divorced couples are showing the world and the courts things that could potentially cause them to lose custody of their children. What could possibly be gained by sharing your steamy pictures for all to see? So many of the pictures include obvious alcohol or drug usage. Uh, hello! What could these people be thinking?
