“I AM WOMAN, HEAR ME ROAR”

Ladies, Moms and Friends,

So many of you have exemplified such unbelievable courage and strength that I need to express my feelings about your successes. If I have been able to help even a few of you in some way, my goal will have been accomplished. Because you have shared your fears, your anger, your pain and your disillusionment with me, I feel like I have virtually lived through many of your experiences, with you.

I have received emails from moms who have beaten the odds in what they have been able to accomplish because of positive thinking and being prepared. There have been moms who felt broken because of financial, emotional and physical abuse but managed to fight for what they believed was right. Many moms have changed the rules and by doing so, have regained their self respect and have evolved into being the women that they had once been.

As I began to write tonight, the early 70s song, by Helen Reddy came to my mind I Am Woman expresses what I am feeling about all of us!
“I am woman, hear me roar
In numbers too big to ignore
And I know too much to go back an’ pretend

And I’ve been down there on the floor
No one’s ever gonna keep me down again
