Natasha Richardson teaches a lesson on life.

Natasha Richardson offers a lesson in life with her untimely death at a young 45. This message is more poignant than any of the messages in her Tony Award winning performances. We must realize that each moment of life is precious and must be treasured. Who would have believed that Natasha would have passed away shortly after a seemingly minor skiing accident?

The spokesperson from the resort where she was having a beginner’s ski lesson said, “It was a normal fall; she didn’t hit anyone or anything. She didn’t show any signs of injury. She was talking and she seemed alright.” The next day, Natasha was gone and left behind were her husband and 2 young sons.

As I read her story, I couldn’t help but be reminded of my mother’s words to me when I was a child. She said, “Claudia life and wealth are ephemeral.” How right she was.
