“Never fear shadows. They simply mean there’s a light shining somewhere nearby!” -Ruth E. Renkel
We all experience dark days, gloomy days, gloom and doom days, dismal days and down in the dump days. So how can we get out of the negative quagmire? Sometimes it’s easier than other times but if we nurture the HABIT of positive thinking, we become more inclined to be encouraged more easily.
I encountered a couple who carried umbrellas because the day was overcast and looked like rain. All of a sudden, the sun came out and the beauty of the rest of the day was promising. I turned to the couple and said, “Well you were certainly prepared for the rain with your umbrellas.” I got two responses, one from each.
The man said, “Yeah, now I have to carry it around all day and it didn’t even rain.”
The woman said, “Yes, we came prepared for rain and look how beautiful this day is turning out to be!”
Friends, which of these two people is leading a happy, positive life? Obviously, it’s the woman! Well, except for the fact that she has to live with such negativity! Think about it! How do you want to live your life with “POSITIVITY” OR “NEGATIVITY?”
