This is wonderfully unbelievable! If you and your spouse live in North Carolina and he is cheating, you might just have the fuel to fire a financially stable future. If you and your spouse are divorcing because another woman broke up your marriage, please read on. You just might be the financial winner in the case of divorce!
The other woman or other man is now taking a financial hit when he or she breaks up a family! There have been awards given to the wife of cheaters and the number is growing. Punitive damages are also being awarded. The legal term is called alienation of affection and criminal conversion.
These home wreckers are paying the dues for attaching themselves to married men in North Carolina. The Supreme Court there has refused to abolish these causes of action. And because of this, more than 200 alienation actions are being filed each year in North Carolina!
Many other states are shocked that this cause of action still exists. While North Carolina is a minority in the way these cases are handled, it isn’t the only state. There are a few other states that support alienation of affection. Illinois, Mississippi, New Hampshire, New Mexico, South Dakota and Utah recognize the cause of action as well. The other forty three states have abolished this cause of action.
(Tongue in Cheek) Maybe the moral of the story is that the men and women who break up marriages should move to one of the forty three states that have abolished this cause of action!
