We have all heard many old sayings like, The best things in life are not things. Pretty is as pretty does.
Today, a friend sent me a copy of some of Audrey Hepburn’s tips on how to be beautiful. Never have I read anything that I consider to be more poignant than her words which declared the real substance of life. Audrey Hepburn’s beauty tips are as follows:
- For attractive lips, speak words of kindness.
- For a slim figure, share your food with the hungry.
- For beautiful hair, let a child run his or her fingers through it.
- For poise, walk with the knowledge that you never walk alone.
- People, even more than things, have to be restored, renewed, revived, reclaimed and redeemed.
- Never throw out anyone.
- Remember, if you ever need a helping hand, you will find one at the end of each of your arms.
- As you grow older, you will rediscover both hands: one for helping yourself and one for helping others.
Amen, Ms. Hepburn
