When a pig flies!

Have you ever tried to take on something new and have been “shot down” by friends or family? Why is it that some of the people who profess to care about us seem to fill our sails with wind or hot air while at the same time, dropping anchor so that we can’t go anywhere?

If we are lucky, there are also people in our lives, who as the song goes, are the “wind beneath our wings.” These are the people who help us soar! With Mother’s Day approaching, my thoughts are filled with memories of my own mom. I miss her so much but somehow, I feel her presence and am sure that she is still with me. We didn’t always get along. Neither of us was perfect but we had a bond that held us together through good and bad times.

Along with that came a mutual respect. My guess is that many of you have had your mothers’ belief in you and love for you that has served as the wind beneath your wings. It’s funny how the really special people in our lives, help us to soar. We can soar so high that we are able to disprove negative comments like, You’ll be able to do that when pigs fly. Oh my! I think I just saw a pig fly!!!!!!!!!
