At some point during the divorce process, you need to consciously decide that it’s time to move on with your life. The sooner you can do this, the better you will fare.
The worst scenario for a couple to experience during the divorce process is divorce court. Divorce court is often the villain that prevents couples from “bouncing back” as quickly as they might have otherwise.
Why? The reasons are simple.
- All out war isn’t waged so there aren’t as many casualties.
- More money is kept in the bank accounts of the divorcing couples than in the attorneys’ pockets.
- Without experiencing the war of divorce court, the man and woman are more likely to maintain a civil relationship after divorce.
- The children of the divorcing couples are less likely to become spoils of war.
Thankfully, most divorces do not end up in divorce court. Please remember that with very few exceptions, the likelihood that you will come out ahead because of going to divorce court is zilch.
