Revealed: Mistakes You Can’t Afford To Make

When you speak with potential attorneys, there are some things that you need to understand. If  he or she makes any statements similar to these, be very cautious. This might not be the attorney you want to ultimately retain.

In addition, if you have already retained your attorney and he or she makes statements similar to these, you should consider changing your legal representation.

  • Don’t worry about your legal fees. Your husband will be paying them.
  • Put together a wish list of everything you want when your divorce is final. We need to make sure that you get everything you want and deserve.
  • Just sign here saying that you certify the document my secretary is typing to be true. We have already talked about the information and I don’t want to waste your time by asking you to come back when you can sign the verification now.
  • Fill out this “income and expense form.” Inflate the numbers because that will get you more money in support and alimony.
  • Don’t worry. Before we go to court, I will coach you on what to say.
  • I guarantee you that you will get at least –% of the marital assets.

The reality is that no attorney can guarantee anything. That’s not the way our judicial system works. Do worry about your legal fees because in almost all cases, you will be the one to pay them.

Do not sign a verification without seeing what you are stating to be the truth. If you do, your credibility in court will be destroyed!
