There is a young woman in the news by the name of Jessica Vega, who allegedly faked an illness in order to gain the sympathy of friends and strangers. If that is not bad enough, she chose a terminal illness to get more than sympathy.
She received the gift of a dream wedding that friends and strangers paid for out of the kindness of their hearts. She was married on May 2, 2010 and was supposedly in the last stage of cancer. These people paid for everything from her wedding gown, wedding rings to a two week honeymoon in the Caribbean. They had been told that she wouldn’t live very much past her wedding date.
According to Michael O’Connell, her then fiancé and now husband, Vega didn’t even tell him that she wasn’t dying. Michael is currently filing for divorce and custody of their daughter.
According to O’Connell, Vega even presented a letter from a Dr. Dan Costin who was to have been her doctor. He was the specialist who supposedly diagnosed her as having acute Myeloid Leukemia. Michael recently found out that she had never been a patient of Dr. Costin.
Vega is denying the allegations and is telling the news that her three month marriage ended because of abuse.
I can’t even comment on this one. If it is true, I am speechless!
