This post may come across as a bit insensitive to some of you but for those of you who are regulars here, you know that it is not my intention! It is intended to be a wake-up call to you strong women who have hit rock bottom because of divorce.
Do you remember when your babies were born and the doctor had to give a little smack on their bottoms to get them to take that first breath? Then after the first breath, they began to cry as they started to experience the reality of life outside of the womb?
You are in a similar situation because you were living in a marriage, a family and a perfect little world. You were much like that baby in the womb.
Then, for whatever reason, it was time for you to take that first breath alone. Something had to give you that little wake-up call. You took that first breath and began to cry.
So what now? It’s up to you. You are in a new world.
Are you going to obtain nourishment from your inner self and inner strength or are you going to need to go into the intensive care unit because you don’t have the ability to breath on your own?
My guess is that you can and will survive and you will refuse the intensive care unit because you don’t want to waste time in a place that is not allowing you to begin a new life, a life where you breath fresh air on your own. Am I right? I sure hope I am for your sake.
